I have never found photography an easy art to understand, so getting the right photo for that I want rarely happens. Intending to write a short piece about a journey made a few years back, I attempted to obtain a photo to illustrate the article. I got the photo this time, but so far my attempt to write about a late night journey on a cold winter’s evening over the moors between Howarth and Colne has eluded me. Perhaps if I had taken the photograph in the late evening, on a bright starlit night?
