Perks of the Job
As Roland was a member of the Ro-Dan clan, he would never be asked to clean windows. Yet there were perks to some jobs. For as the window cleaner slipped his card under the door, the door opened and the window cleaner was pulled in.
Roland wondered why humans paid to have their windows cleaned, then closed the curtains.
Later as the window cleaner sat in his truck, Roland observed the now smiling cleaner unpacked his lunch and give it to the birds. Roland would have liked some of this lunch. Unfortunately Ro-Dan’s are outlaw’s in this part of town.
Footnote:
Over the last week I have been writing a story for a competition. The 2300 word story was about Roland’s first adventure.
Hmmmm …. intriguing!
I do like your comment, thank you
Sounds like a good time was had by all, except Ro Dan
I am sure Ro-Dan will manage to enjoy himself at some piont
Window cleaners and postmen seem to have an enviable reputation!
That they do,
Leaves rather a lot to the imagination. But as long as everyone’s happy. . . .
Firing the imagination was my aim. My muse has desided to tell stories about Ro-Dan
Lucky window cleaner!
Maybe, I believe that he enjoyed his snack…time will tell
i guess window cleaners rise to the occasion at all times. 🙂
At all times
A nice, curious take on the prompt.
Curious will do for me, thank you dragon warrior
A great set-up for a longer story. Roland is an intriguing character already.
Thank you Brenda, My muse is tempting me to do just that.
Nice intro for a captivating longer tale, Michael.
Isadora
Thank you Isadora, Roland’s story is developing.
