Nothing is New
Prompt photograph from Fleur Lind
Dare I open this door. You see I know to where it goes… Jules Verne and Lewis Carroll certainly thought they knew, but they were wrong… A mole once found the tunnel, but not mole from ‘The Wind in the Willows’ by Graham Kenneth… For this tunnel was created by a primeval Basilisk. Magma will not enter this twisting cavernous hell. It is said that, should the ocean enter this tunnel, the planet will die… Just as Mar’s did.
This week I am traveling back in time.
Basilisks are my favourite animal
Wow.
I, too, love the basiliks!
Wow
So that’s what happened to Mars. I hope that door stays shut. Good story, Michael. I like the idea of such a small door guarding the world against possible disaster. Lovely myth-making.
Yes some scientists think that Mar’s oceans have descended… only time will tell.
the future of mankind doesn’t look good. the door should remain closed for as long as possible.
As long as possible is right, thank you for commenting
Honestly, Michael, I often don’t know what’s real and what’s illusion anymore. I believe these types of portals do exist in some fashion, and it’s best to stay away from them.
Your comment has got me thinking,… in a way the wind became a portal for those sailing wooden ships. The oceans must have seemed endless to the early sailors…. A recent conversation with a astronomer brought home to me the vastness of over universe. And then I was led to believe that there maybe millions of universes.! So even portals might fade into nothing. It is better to writer about them maybe
Dear Michael,
Many things to ponder.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Many things indeed Rochelle, this weeks prompt has opened up a new steam of ideas for me.
Very imaginative.
Thank you Dawn, imagination is the stock in trade for writers
