Ma
Ma called her family to follow her down the worn staircase and through a string of cobwebs. It did not appear that the tunnel which linked the house on the hill to the old cattle barn and now garage had been used in the past century. Still Ma felt unsafe, and so crawling under the garage doors she guided her family through the undergrowth into a forest and down between the roots of an old tree. As the ground trembled and the house on the hill exploded into fragments she wondered if the family sheltering in its cellar still lived…
I am going to be positive and say they survive the blast.
Well done, sir.
Thank you so much Dale…Being positive is important,
This may not be the time for upbeat feel-good stories. Write what you feel, I say
I always appreciate your feedback, and thank you again for it.
Yes, it is a time when it’s hard to escape the horrible events of the world, even in our writing. You’ve dealt with it all successfully here. This group will survive, I’m sure.
Thank you so much Margaret,
I hope many of the families have made these kinds of escape routes and laid in provisions to last a long time. Very timely writing and I understand why your muse has been affected.
So many are suffering, it is evil.
Dear Michael,
We can only hope they survived. Heartfelt and gut wrenching story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
When so many suffer it is evil,
I hope they did survive, and I’m glad there was an old tunnel for some to escape through.
I hope so also,… words fail me at the evilness of the destruction being used by Russian soldiers
