Levitating Cities
Prompt from Mr BInks
Floating high above planet earth gave a clear view of the devastating outcome of humanity’s rule over the planet. Now the recolonisation of earth from Mars was under way. No one was allowed to touch the fragile surface of earth. Slowly nature was reclaiming inch by inch, but the ocean still looked grim. No one had seen any sign of marine or mammalian life, not even a rat or insect. Storm’s metallic boots held her firmly against the cities rim as she lowered a container. Specimen ten thousand nine hundred and one came back, but what was it…
In place of feet I saw miniature individuals.
What was it? The inheritors
The story did not turnout as I hoped, .
Well done, Michael! Earth would eventually take over all the crap man had created.
Thank you Dale, where I live I have not before seen nature so rampant
Needs a twinkly.
The story certainly needs lightening up.
It looks like a pretty good candidate to take over the Earth.
I hope no, as nature prefers leaving alone
Dear Michael,
A chilling reminder of how we’ve mistreated our planet. Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle

I love a good sci-fi story, and especially one with a sound ecological message. Well told.
Thank you Margaret, I have always enjoyed Sci-fi
