It was great to meet old friends and chin-wag at this interesting garden. Plenty of colour on display and the daffodils, well enough said. I did however feel that Harlow Carr is getting rather commercial in it’s outlook, and in so doing may risk losing what a English garden is truly about. Then again perhaps that is the only way to make the garden pay: And maybe today people want more on offer than just a beautiful garden…
