Dementia in a flash
Long forgotten to this moment.
A blue flash, passing by.
A tear or a smile, for
Iv’e lost a word in a gyrating jumble.
Cobbed houses, olden days.
Pictures of the past.
Jumbled surfaces, groaning.
Bleeding thoughts.
Flagging memories.
T’is all I have.
Gone in a flash.
this is a very wrenching exposé about memory loss, dementia – sudden, fragmented, it makes no sense – dementia – your write here does …. powerful
Dementure steals memories in so many differing ways, Thank you for your support.
oh … and just because …. you can always delete this Mike – perhaps, you might want to consider adding a little end note on any writing you do for prompts, like Friday Fictioneers, telling people you’ve added a follow button to your space here …. because you get really great responses to your writing …. and I’m sure people would be glad to be kept in the loop regarding your other writing and photography …. just a thought 🙂
I am not used to putting my writing on line yet. But I have taken note of what you suggest. Thanks Mike
as you are comfortable Mike, as you are comfortable 🙂
