Binding History
I have arrived at the neglected premises of a book binder…
Wellingborough has tasked me to arrange the binding of his manuscript. He is to publish it, he is determined that the discovery of a ancient computer by his niece, should not be hidden by the authorities. It seems that in the past books were read on computers.
The guild of verbal story tellers, will be be saying that he is deranged, whilst their actors will be baying for his blood. The public will lambast him. Surely… no one would ever wish to read stories on a machine. It is much more fun going to a Shakespeare stage…
Nice time traveling story. One day time travel will be commonplace, but until then…
I enjoy wondering what if, although this week I struggled. I wonder if time travel come about will there maybe no demand for writers of fiction
Love this… is this the future ? I love the idea that in the future computers are out and live performance is the thing. Fascinating
Thank you Laurie, I did in my mind base this story in the future, but possibly time is a continues loop, so the future comes round at regular intervals?
It’s definitely much more fun to go to a stage.
Absolutely, yet I would never be up on the stage…
I think there is a time and place for most things and cycles exist.
Interesting story.
Thank you Tannille, with this story I did see time as being on a continuous loop
What a lovely story. Now all they need to do is to reinvent reading and writing
Thank you Neil. I think that perhaps in that time the authorities view reading and writing as a black art, which should be banned.
Interesting. No matter how advance technology will become, you will never need to recharge a battery or plug into the supply just to read a paper book.
That is true James, or to visit open air theatres
Nicely done, Michael.
Thank you Bill, it took quite some time this week for me to come up with a story
i wonder what ray bradbury would say about this.
I would be just so happy to know, good or bad
Well penned. And … if the banning of today continues so, we may end up being unallowed to read things on screens, lest we see what some believe is too informative.
Na’ama, so true
