Just Wait Till Tomorrow
Look at them, just look at them, they think that they are the bee’s knees. Smelly things. I just do not know why the humans like them. They are soulless without a spark of life. And they are poisoning the air that we all have to share.
Don’t worry Ned: the master’s daughter still loves us.ย
I know she does, but look she’s sitting inside one, it fair turns me blood Meg.
She will be alright, has she got her seat belt on, can you see Ned.ย
She’ll need one tomorrow, when she rides me.
O don’t be like that Ned.
No wonder John Wayne always kissed his horse.
Fun story, Michael with a good ending to boot.
Did he! I bet the mares loved that. glad you liked the ending, thank you for your support it is appreciated.
Dear Mike,
Cute story. I never knew horses felt so strongly about the automobile. ๐
Shalom,
Rochelle
Neigh, Rochelle
Perfect answer! ๐
I think the master’s daughter had better rethink her priorities. Good take.
Ned really loves her, she will be alright. Unless she forgets his food.
Lovely story Michael, with a serious point beneath the fun. Excellent.
I am glad that it came across, I very much appreciate your comments. Thank you.
Such a nice story for the prompt. Different and nice.
There is a “Letter Writing Challenge” starting from the 30th of January. It would be amazing if you could participate.
Here is the link for the challenge http://mrsdashsayss.blogspot.in/2017/01/12-weeks-of-letter-writing-challenge_24.html
I love the point of view of the horse… Not fun to be tossed aside. Great take, Michael!
Hopefully Ned’s will be a good fellow, and the masters daughter will not get tossed.
You and I were on the same track–different trains ๐
I do hope that we are travelling in the same direction, Mike
I think we were ๐
I think she’ll be in for a rough ride. Nice take.
Ned’s really an old softy, the daughters safe I think.
I enjoyed your tale being told from the horses point of view. Master’s daughter better beware.
Ned’s really an old softy.
Autos making the horses jealous. I’d never have thought of that. Well done.
It came straight from the horses mouth.
Loved this. Warn poor Ned he might be cutting off his nose to spite his face if he starts being too rough.
I like that old cliche, “the bee’s knees.” “DOWN with banning CLICHES! ๐
Absolute on all counts, thanks you.
That’s a story straight from the horses mouth. HA!
Neigh; says Ned.
Great POV. I feel for the poor horses that technology replace, although I think they have a better life now.
Not as interesting though; but thank you so much.
I loved the ending. it made me smile. ๐
They say that smiling is good for us so I am pleased
Ned needs to lighten up and embrace the future! Though it’s not looking so rosy for horses, I suppose.
He had just eaten a thistle
Ha! I loved the horses humor and perspective on the new automobiles. A really fun read.
Thank you for the lovely comment.
Laughed till I was horse
Neigh.
I had a member of the equine family once who was prone to muscle cramps. We called him Charley horse.
I feel for Charley, muscle cramps are not nice
I really enjoyed this especially as whilst I use a car as much as the next person I’ve never found them interesting or beautiful, horses on the other hand are.
I was fascinated by the development of motor vehicles, but now I see their negative side.
Love it! I had a horse pull my car out of the mud once. I’m sure he was laughing inside!
Click to read my story!
I reckon he was, hope that he got a reward.
Ned said only one carrot? – Thank you for your lovely comment
I loved this original perspective. Horseless carriages will never have the romance and character of carriageless horses
I do agree about horses. Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated.
A great story. It made me smile.
Smiling I am told is very good for us. Glad that you enjoyed the story. Mike
Awwwโฆwhat a sweet point of view. I feel for him.
Perhaps a little to sweet, I am removing the apples from his mash.
That’s okay, Ned. He may need you for a tow if he gets stuck in a ditch. Good writing, Mike. ๐ — Suzanne
Thank you Suzanne – Ned appreciates your comments, says that they are better than a carrot or apples.
