Delivery. Not Today
What can you say, the engines just were playing up. This was going to be hard going. Winter is never a good time. Back in the early 1960s I had a cohort of lady’s all needing their engines turning. However this is 2021 and modern diesel engines start much easier. So don’t worry Mr Postman. The Marvelettes are up to the task.
Today WordPress is playing me up
WordPress moves in mysterious ways. And seldom for the better.
Absolutely Sandra.
Well that’s not fun. At least you still managed to get a story out of it 🙂
Thank you Dale, I am glad that I did not give in.
…look and see, if there’s a letter in your bag for me…
This, sounds like the title of a song to me
Nice take on the prompt.
I agree about WordPress. It took me 3 tries to convince them that I’m not a robot for this comment 🙁
Bernadette, I have spent quite a lot of time using the computer today, sadly it never gets easier
You did wonderfully well, even without the picture 🙂
I am very grateful for this comment, thank you Linda
How annoying. Still a fitting non-delivery!
Well said Iain,
‘A cohort of ladies needing their engines, turning’??
The mind boggles!
I did smile at your feedback, as you caught me out
Had trouble myself saving the photo. Had to rename it with another extension. Nice work around.
Thank you Danny, I also tried to link the song without any success.
10/10 for persistence Michael. Good take on the prompt!
Thank you Penny, In the end I gave in, posting what I had before I lost the will to continue
Dear Michael,
Wait a minute, wait a minute. Now I can hear the Marvelettes in my head. Nicely done, even without the photo prompt.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle, I do enjoy Motown,
Well I’m sure the cohort of ladies needing their engines tuning is a euphemism, and its left me wanting more, so to speak. Have you tried turning the computer on and off again?
Yes you have caught me out Dom. With WordPress I have tried all sorts to overcome the picture. Yesterday morning nothing seemed to deal with the problem. So it has been great to read the comments from fellow fictioneers
Nice one. You didn’t need the picture anyway Michael!
I had the same problem, then managed to download it from someone else’s blog!
My story!
Hi Keith, yesterday not even that would work. I am sad to hear that other fictioneers have had the same difficulty. I enjoy reading all the differing responses to the prompts.
i guess it’s not a perfect world. we just have to learn to live with it. 🙂
That is true, there are so many much worse things.
And yet, you did it YOUR way! 🙂
Just like the song that I recall by Frank Sinatra. Thank you Na’ama
