The Patch
There’s a new sheet on the barn roof, Jenny.
I saw a streak of light entering their. Later when I found the marble sized meteor I did not put the two things together. …
When I left home, I took the meteor with me, in an old tobacco tin.
You could have knocked me down with a feather when I opened the tin later. It was lined with gold.
Marry me Jenny. The gold will be your ring.
We will raise a great family, you will see.
Yes one day you will see my love. Travel the stars with me Jenny.
Lucky Jenny. Wish some gold would fall out of the sky for me!
Gold comes in many forms Iain, I always appreciate your feedback,
A lovely little tale of everyday magic
Reading your comment is the best magic, thank you Neil
Magic is such a splendid diversion from the daily grind. Well done.
The daily grind can be heavy. It is fabulous if a little magic can be lifted from literature. I am grateful to be part of this Friday group.
Dear Michael,
A sweet story. I hope Jenny says yes.
Shalom,
Rochelle
This week my story started with me building a model barn… Then the magic of the muse arrived, creating Jenny. who has visual impairment. Hopefully she will appear again in the future.
A mystical romatic tale. Love it, Michael! I hope Jenny says ‘yes’ as well.
Writing romance is not generally my thing, so I very much appreciate this comment. Thank you Brenda
I’d love to find a magic meteorite like that! A story with heart.
For me meteorites are full of mystery. “a story with heart”, is a lovely comment, thank you so much
You are very welcome, Michael.
Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Thanking you for your compliment Mike
I found it quite intriguing how he talks to Jenny, it made me think of Forrest Gump.
It seems to be an interesting relationship.
This story started of as a article about building a barn ! Then metamorphosis Set in, even later I was attempting to illustrate that Jenny had very limited sight.
What a romantic proposal, and he didn’t have to spend a fortune on a ring!
Here’s mine!
He was so lucky, as she said yes.
I wouldn’t mind finding a meteorite like that!
Me to, then again good health and family are more important.
Beautiful Midas marble there. Great story.
Midas

What a magical story, Michael!
Glad that you enjoyed it Sascha
A regular Hallmark romance in 100 words!
It is very very rare for me to attempt romance, so I rather liked your feedback
I’m just thankful there wasn’t a twist where the farmer was named Rumpel S. Tiltskin.
Rumple and I enjoyed your comment, thank you Miles
