Careers Finished
Jenny was happy the Eden Project was coming to her town. They had offered her employment as a biological horticulturist. As she walked home she considered her dream of creating a plant based cure for Alzheimer’s.
Thomas was happy, he had been accepted to play for Morecambe Town. Feeling the power increase he changed up a gear, only to catch a glimpse of a petite girl stepping off the pavement. As he braked hard, his car pulled to the left. Jenny died instantly.
Thomas recieved a broken leg. His car hit a tree that Jenny climbed as a child.
Footnote: The Eden Project team, along with others are working at developing a new site at Morecambe. Their web address is, www.edenproject.co.uk.
Sometimes life is just random
Thank you Neil. It was a strange story to come to my mind, random, perhaps,
Tragic story. The roads around the Eden Project need full concentration all the time. They’re definitely not suitable for speeding.
Thank you Penny.Tragic indeed, events in life can appear quite random, but sometime I do wonder.
Takes the six degrees of separation to another plane.
There are so many possibilities, it does makes me think. Six degrees or perhaps even more.
A tragic moment in fabric of reality 🙁
The fabric of life can seem rather strange. The longer I live, the more curious I get.
Fate can be twisted and cruel. Good story.
The repetitive pattern in human life can seem rather strange. The longer I live, the more curious I get.
Dear Michael,
Tragic story. Very believable.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle
And life can turn, or be snuffed out, just like that.
Sadly all to often, thank you Sandra
Cie la vie.
I had no idea the Eden Project was spreading its wings. That’s great.
It will be good for Morecambe if it happens, thank you Keith
sigh, i was hoping for a happy ending.
Sorry Plaridel.a happy ending might have been better.
How quickly our hopes and dreams can be snuffed. Good writing, Michael. Realistic.
Thank you Linda,
The randomness of life.
My first thought was “Eden Project” too, as it’s only a few miles from where I live.
The Eden centre is great, I have been twice. However I do like wild gardens more.
Me too!
Sad. Makes me wonder what they could have done if they weren’t snuffed.
Thank you Tannille, yes we will never know,
Hopes dashed in an instant. Very true to life.
Thank you magarisa,
